Exclusion lists in ReplyForce help you manage contacts from various sources, ensuring that you avoid reaching out to them if they have unsubscribed or if you want to exclude them for other reasons. This article will guide you through the process of uploading and managing exclusion lists in ReplyForce.
Automatic Addition of Unsubscribes
When a contact unsubscribes from your communications, they are automatically added to the exclusion list and cannot be removed. This ensures that you won't contact them again, respecting their preferences.
Uploading an Exclusion List from Other Sources
ReplyForce allows you to upload a list of emails from other sources, effectively managing your exclusion lists. There are two options for uploading an exclusion list: through the filters menu while building an audience or through the campaign settings menu. Follow the steps below to upload an exclusion list:
Option 1: Filters Menu (Building an Audience)
- Log in to your ReplyForce account.
- On the left-hand side panel, click on the "Audience" tab.
- In the top right corner, click on "Create Audience."
- Locate the "Exclusion Lists" section within the "Refine Audience" section.
- Click on "Upload Exclusion List."
- A file upload window will appear. Locate and select the CSV file containing your exclusion list from your computer.
- Click on "Open" to begin uploading the file.
- Once the upload is complete, the exclusion list will be applied. This means that any contacts on the list will be excluded from existing and future campaigns.
Option 2: Campaign Settings Menu
- Log in to your ReplyForce account.
- On the left-hand side panel, click on "Settings."
- Navigate to the "Campaign Settings" tab.
- Scroll down to the "Exclusion Lists" section, located near the bottom of the page.
- Click on "Upload" under "Exclusion Lists."
- A file upload window will appear. Locate and select the CSV file containing your exclusion list from your computer.
- Click on "Open" to begin uploading the file.
- Once the upload is complete, the exclusion list will be applied. This means that any contacts on the list will be excluded from existing and future campaigns.
Exporting the Exclusion List
You may want to export the exclusion list when reaching out to contacts on another platform to avoid contacting those who have already unsubscribed or are on your exclusion list for other reasons. To export the exclusion list:

- Log in to your ReplyForce account.
- On the left-hand side panel, click on "Settings."
- Navigate to the "Campaign Settings" tab.
- Scroll down to the "Exclusion Lists" section, located near the bottom of the page.
- Click on 'VIEW' to the right of your exclusion list.
A pop-up window will appear, showing the list of excluded contacts.
- Click on the download icon
to export the exclusion list to your computer.
